Group Workshops & Therapeutic Storytelling for Healing, Growth and Connection

Healing doesn’t always happen in isolation. Through group workshops and storytelling experiences, Leila offers individuals and communities the chance to connect, reflect, and grow together. Whether you’re navigating personal transitions, seeking creative self-discovery, or simply needing space to process emotional experiences, these sessions foster emotional insight, resilience, and a sense of shared humanity.

Meet to Grow Program

Meet to Grow is a small group personal growth journey designed for women of all ages who are committed to consciously becoming their best selves.

Each group meets five times per school term, with each term guided by a central theme. The year begins with a Vision Board Session, setting intentions for the year ahead. Over the course of 20 sessions annually, you’ll have regular opportunities to revisit your goals, reflect on your journey, and celebrate your growth.

All sessions are facilitated by Leila Falletisch, a qualified and experienced group facilitator who provides practical tools, insightful guidance, and gentle accountability. The space is rooted in confidentiality, non-judgment, and empowerment, offering a supportive environment to reflect, share, and grow.

Vision Board Workshops

Visualise, Reflect, Create Your Way Forward

Vision board workshops blend therapeutic reflection with creative expression. Participants are guided to reflect on personal goals, values, or emotional themes, then visually map them out using words, images, and symbols. These sessions are both grounding and inspiring – offering clarity and emotional release in a non-verbal, intuitive way.

Therapeutic Storytelling

Sit Back, Listen, and Let the Story Speak to You

These unique storytelling sessions invite groups to slow down and simply listen. Leila shares carefully crafted therapeutic stories – gentle, meaningful narratives designed to resonate with universal life experiences like change, courage, loss, or growth. Without asking participants to share or perform, the space allows for quiet reflection, thoughtful discussion (if desired), and a shared sense of connection. It’s a relaxed, inspiring way to come together, enjoy a beautiful story, and leave feeling seen, heard, and emotionally refreshed.

Group Workshops

Safe Spaces for Connection and Growth

Very often people are struggling with an issue relating to a life stage, a traumatic event or loss or a particular issue. While individual counseling is helpful, hearing the ideas and experiences of others is potentially very useful. Group workshops, facilitated by an experienced and qualified professional combines the expertise of the professional with the lived experience of the individuals attending so that maximum benefit is experienced by the participants. Leila Falletisch has 30+ years of experience in the field of facilitating groups and assisting people through difficult times. Below is a list of group workshops she facilitates.

Let’s Talk Parenting

Parenting has become very tricky in the modern world. Parents are finding that the model of parenting used by their parents doesn’t fit, many households are single parent households while in others both parents are working full time and in some instances one parent is working away from home for extended periods. Added to the work schedules of parents is sky rocketing expenses, the challenges of social media, gaming and device time.

Leila has worked extensively with parents from all communities and economic standing and is able to facilitate a space where parents are free to ask questions, express their concerns, learn from each other and receive input that is researched and sound.

LET’S TALKING PARENTING can be adapted for groups of teacher’s caregivers and au pairs. Topics can be tailored to suit the needs of the group

Conversations That Matter

Between 2008-2024 Leila facilitated a personal growth program for women that met fortnightly. Leila also facilitated the Somerset West chapter of the SOUTH AFRICAN DEPRESSIN AND ANXIETY GROUP for 5 years.

As a result of the work done in these two arenas Leila has both experience and insight into the issues that women struggle with. Group workshops are an excellent forum for exploring common experiences and issues such as Loss, Blended families, Recovery from broken relationships, Empty nest, Retirement, Caring for elderly parents and Menopause.

Stories Of Hope

Since 2010 Leila has created opportunities for women to gather and hear Stories of hope, resilience, recovery and motivation. Leila creates the space for women to come together and learn and most important hear the message that THERE IS HOPE in a world that is often dominated by stress and trauma.

Some of the Stories of Hope have been:
• When the Going gets tough the tough get creative.
• Recovery from life threatening situations.
• The interface between cultural practice and the Modern World.

Learn To Listen, aka Kitchen Counseling

Before an individual seeks the counsel of a professional, they have told their story to a family member, friend, colleague or fellow church goer. The response the individual receives has a HUGE impact on the individual, positively or negatively. The listeners, i.e. all of us often feel unable to respond appropriately or in a way that is helpful and compassionate.

Lear to Listen a practical short course in listening and responding skills for those moments when a stranger or a loved opens their heart.

Leila is the creator of Learn to Listen and has presented this course to groups of small group leaders and to people working in the field of loss. However, the course is not confined to these 2 groups. It is extremely useful for Joe Soap and Mary Smith who would like to be better equipped to listen and respond in emotional situations.
